One world...self-centered...must be!!!

How does it feel to cry...extremely satisfying:-)
How does it feel to laugh...blissfull .

We all learn in life to be giving, not to be "selfish",to be happy in others happiness n be with the one in despair...this is so very true that doing all these we satisfy ourselves, our conscience, our ego,our hearts are fulfilled...maybe the other's too..but at the end of the episode "I" am the one feeling good:))))....N on "first" thoughts, that is why I did all those!!

Sometimes I feel so confused of life...So many people...so many lives...some happy...many others sad..just cause their lives are relatively not better off than the others. We talk of rat race???...Now?? well our entire foundation of living was based on that...we had to struggle for existing...now we struggle for being rich..or in other words, we call it being happy...Yes it is!!!

Let's not play with words..let's not play with each other...I might sound ultra-sarcastic...sorry for that...it pays off being a Scorpio after all!! Soulmates/spouses/friends/family/money........somebody was saying that day .."I don't search for a soulmate..It's so selfish-->'I Love you, You love me'...I am loved by so many people"...Well!!!

Let me rephrase to what I said...It pays off being a "Stupid " after all...maybe I would have loved if the rules of life were written down in crude words n I was supposed to learn them in my social studies class...

1)You should have friends cause it feels good to be with them.
2)You should help friends cause it feels good to help others.
3)You should be with your family cause it feels good again.
4)You should sacrifice at times cause it feels good to sacrifice .
5)You should study properly to get a job cause it would make your life better than others and you would feel extremely good ,being better than your counterparts.
6)You shouldn't have bad friends cause ,no matter how you make their life better ,they would make your life miserable.
7)You should help the poor cause it feels good to see their smile.
8)You should love everybody around you cause you will be loved in return .
9)You shouldn't hate anybody cause it might leave a fair chance that the person hating you too..you wouldn't like it.
10)You should be honest cause if you are not you might be disliked by many people. You might score badly in your "feel good"factor list.

The list would go on...."Funny me!!"

'When a person's fight with himself starts, then he is worth something'.

I'm glad Somleena your fight with yourself has started. I know exactly where you're and what you're going through coz I've been there, through all that.

I won't tell you anything, won't lend you a helping hand because life is the biggest teacher and it teaches all it's lessons through suffering. To save someone from suffering is to not letting them learn their lesson. That won't be a help, that would be injustice.

However, I will tell you just one thing, when you suffer in isolation you mostly re-invent the wheel yourself. So it's a good time to enter the world of books because so many people have left their experiences for your reference, learn from them and take the lesson to the higher level by your own suffering. Why don't you start with Ayn Rand's immortal The Fountainhead?

All the best! And let me leave you with a message, I'm there if you need someone to talk, I'm there if you need a shoulder to cry. I'm your friend, I care.

This "feel good" factor is the mother of some selfish good deed, u know!! A person must be intentionally or most of the time unintentionally selfish when he/she is doing some good deed, because even if he/she is not earning any money or anything as such, a feel good factor is creating in his/her subconscious mind. So, in other words, selfless good deed does not exists.

Good writing though. keep it up. And by the way, this post reminds me of the argument Phoebe and Joey had in F.R.I.E.N.D.S, and I know that you are a huge F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan like me, are you somehow got inspired by that discussion? :)

The Big Fat GreekStory

Life has been “Know as you go”. I remember zero facts from my fat books of school and all my wisdom has been from what I have seen during my travel and meeting people. I thought Greece would be just a relaxing vacation by the sea, but it ended up being the greatest history lesson I had. If Notre Dam in Paris can awe us, the Roman Forum gives one goose-bumps then Mycenae (and other archaeological sites) in Greece is a "gasm" of sorts. I probably never be strong enough to visit any of the Ziggurats in Iraq..till the pyramids wait.. and till I comprehend how to figure out IVC remains in my own country , nothing can compare to the depth and realization of the power of mankind, the way Greece has entrenched on me. The history started pouring from Acropolis in Athens. Though it has been from antiquity, its glory gradually developed. The current standing structure of Parthenon was re-built in 500 BC by king Pericles under whose reign democracy, philosophy, science gained ...

The mandatory reflection of life in 2020

The year for which every company made a 5 year plan and ended up laughing at it.  The year when many of us had our best performances of our careers and had zero increment. We were probably fortunate.  The year when most of us added a bunch of not-to-be-used-again skill like being barber, painter, carpenter ( leave aside being teacher,  maid, cook, baby sitter) etc. etc. The year when there was a massive reflux of souls. The year deserves a lamented documentation. But while I started to reflect about how the pandemic has shaped us, a rush of thoughts came – about us - civilization – climate change and how we need to be careful in our actions.. We are in effect for about 65-70000 years now. We have survived ice ages and tectonic shifts, forget just pandemics. But despite that, globally across Indus valley/ Mesopotamia/ Egypt we probably have been able to unearth to a max of 7000 years in civilization through urban lifestyle and innovation. And in this span of man...

Bambino’s trip to Italy

So it has been the bambino’s mom’s childhood wish to go to the land of the good looking fellas. And boy, did she satisfy her wish! They say in Paris a man cannot walk looking straight and in Italy, a woman can’t! Well, seldom I write a travelogue but it was the first time with our 15 month old and it was so much fun I can hardly describe! Rome and Venice was the short and sweet plan. Our Rome apartment was right near the parliament from where mostly all tourist spots were walkable. So the day we landed as our jet lagged son dozed off, we set off with the map to do our touristy stuff. And while we walked, we used Bengali as the language to get around! Oh yes, there are Bangladeshi hawkers all around helping us with the way! Though Paris is considered to be an open museum, Rome is too! A 3000-year-old city still standing strong and beautiful. The beauty of Rome is in its streets which makes you feel the way it must have been millennials ago. Pantheon. Who would say a 2000 year ...
