Objectivism vs Spiritualism

One very close family friend expired. He was not even forty and had a massive heart attack. He was what Ayn Rand's philosophy says "Objectivist". He had a vision to start a company of his own and take it to new heights. He was the chairman of this and had risen to success, like anything in very less time! and this was the end of it.... Isn't it all very meaningless at the end of the day? Living life with passion? what you really want to do against all the odds...the odds result in so much odd stress and physical trauma..in high blood pressure, in losing that very life? It's all so heroic to do it! To live the way you want it to...whatever may come, just do it...make money, make fame , make love, make kids....And after so much of making, it just vanishes. The soul just gets tired of the exhausted body and leaves?? It all ends?
